Troye Sivan

£275.00

Troye Sivan (born 1995) is an Australian singer, songwriter and actor. As a teenager his popularity snowballed through exposure on YouTube and TV talent competitions, and in 2013 he signed with EMI Australia and became an international star. In the same year, aged 18, he came out via YouTube. Troye has continued to inspire a generation of young LGBTQ+ people across the world, not just with his songs but also with his music videos, which often depict relationships between gay teenagers: he has said that these representations are important to him, as from his childhood he has ‘such vivid memories of the few times I saw any type of LGBTQ relationship on TV or in music videos.’ Alongside his musical career, Troye Sivan has been acting since he was a boy. At the age of 11 he played the title role in Oliver! at Perth’s Regal Theatre, and at 13 he made his big-screen debut as Hugh Jackman’s younger self in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), before going on to play the title role in the Spud trilogy (2010-2014).
